Donegal Ladies win at home to Cork
The damage for Donegal was inflicted by the three first half rinks with three wins. They dominated after a slow start by the visitors enabling the hosts to take a 26 shot advantage into the second period. This is the second impressive display by Donegal at home and the first half rinks have been instrumental in the victories. Although 26 shots adrift Cork came out strongly in the second half but could only reduce the deficit by 2 shots after 5 ends and although they pressed hard and kept the matches tight Donegal deserved their significant winning margin.
Donegal have lost only one rink out of six to date and are starting to show consistency after a period of rebuilding. They travel to South Tyrone in the quarter final which should be a very tight competitive game.
