Synopsis: All Saints, Tullylish qualified with five points. They set up a winner takes all contest with Cookstown High in their final game and put in one of the best performances of the day to have the game wrapped up by the midway stage such was their superiority on two of the rinks. Andy Leckey proved an asset to All Saints this year winning all three group games. E Irwin and A Steele played two and won two for Loughenreagh. Loughenreagh decided not to play their final game as it would not affect the top of the group.
Cookstown High 20 v 20 Loughenreagh This was the first draw of this season’s competition with Loughenreagh winning two of the matches. Alan Paul got off to a flyer scoring seven shots in the first three ends to put Loughenreagh on the back foot but steady starts on the other two rinks ensured the game was even. A crucial one shot for A Irwin in the last end helped Loghenreagh despite his loss. It was a similar scenario for Mark Wilson who only lost by two shots although he only won two ends. The two he gained on the final end proved critical.
