Limavady R&CC 22 v 20 Towers
Limavady were one of the fancied clubs due to their previous good record in this competition. They had a strong backend partnership with Nishy Logue and Leigh Harrison but I Craig’s four took control of this match after the first end to win six successive ends and lead 8-2. The two shots that were claimed by the Limavady rink in defeat proved vital in the overall score. C Jones four also had a good victory losing only two against J McKay. The win went to Limavady thanks primarily to Ryan O’Neill’s foursome who lost a single on the first end but then lead 12-1 against R Hunter to give Limavady control of the game and ultimately the two points for the win.
