World Pairs Quarter Final

Gillett and Morgan defeat Ian McClure and Jeremy Henry as the Northern Ireland duo find it difficult to repeat the very high standard of bowls which they produced in coming back from one set down and one tie break down to defeat Alex Marshall and Paul Foster.

Richard Morgan at lead and Les Gillett produced the more consistent bowls in the important ends.

Ian held 2 shots after leads had bowled; Gillett took one out but Ian & Jeremy move ahead in set

Morgan held shot with Gillett adding a second. Jeremy was marginally narrow clipping the edge of a short bowl with drive. Millimetres in it but lose two shots with Gillett coming up short3

Morgan lay shot despite a toucher by Ian. Jeremy connects with running shot to lie one shot. Gillett drew toucher; Jeremy takes out lying bowl to claim shot

Ian lengthened jack again but Gillett drew a toucher to be 2 up. Jeremy ran at head and was unfortunate to only take out one shot; Gillett surprisingly did not play his bowl when a repeat of his first bowl would have given him two
