Professional Bowls Association

The World Qualifiers for the pairs and singles have a much more interesting format than ordinary stadium bowls.
It is straight knockout.
2 sets comprising of 7 ends, if set score is tied, a three end tie break is played where winning the end counts only, not the shots scored scored.
The T is 3m instead of two. There are no dead ends [with 1 exception see later].

If the jack goes outside the rink it is re-spotted 1ft behind the T half way between the T and the edge of the rink.
The one instance where it can be a dead end is on the third tie break end, each player can kill the end once, they must declare that they are attempting to do it before playing the bowl. (so in pairs this could happen up to 4 times).
The jack can only be given away on the first end of each set.
Pairs can "change formation" between sets.
