Barry with his final deliver trailed the jack with shot against leaving Mark with a single bowl to win the title. It was not a straight forward shot as the jack was a few feet from the ditch but also near the edge of the rink. A very difficult delivery to judge on both the line and weight as that part of the rink had not been used. Although is was now all or nothing the quality of bowling was as good as it had been throughout. Paul lay shot beside the jack with Dominic resting against Pauls's bowl for second shot. John then chopped out the lying bowl to lie shot but the star of the end was Stevie who played three very good bowls to change the head on three occasions to lie shot which resulted in the title going to the Ulster Transport triple. In the fours Clifford Craig's foursome controlled the game and put their opponents under constant pressure . The blackrock rink fought hard but a count of six ended their hopes of the title and secured the trophy for Balmoral.
