The inaugural 3 bowl stadium pairs competition proved a hit with Simon Martin and Graham McKee claiming the title. Permission and funding have already been granted for the competition to run in 2012 and it will take place earlier than this year. It is anticipated that the competition will have greater appeal with no conflict with other events. There is plenty of interest in this competition and it could well be over-subscribed. It would be a huge boost if the organisers had to run one game preliminary knock-out games to reduce the numbers down to 32 for the group stages.
